We are Merel and Vincent. After working for years with compassion in the dutch hospitality, we decided to move to Italy, together with our children and dogs. A travel trough the north of Italy that ended somewhere between Toscolano-Maderno and Gardone Riviera. We fell deeply in love. What a magnificent place!
In the villa, which is more than one hundred years old, we have created three beautiful rooms for our guests. After an intense period of construction, which started in 2021 and ended in 2023, we are finally ready to begin. The basement has been excavated, completely moisture-free, foundations have been renewed, walls plastered, bathrooms created; Everything has been restored as much as possible to its original state. Villa Lou can receive its guests. And we can continue our love for the profession in an Italian dream. The environment takes care of the rest.
We use a private part of the house and the back of the garden. As our guest, you can enjoy our beautiful garden and swimming pool in the front. We hope to welcome you soon at Villa Lou.

Our dogs
Are completely in place. A Rhodesian Ridgeback is a real sun worshiper and does not like rain at all. Between the rays of sunshine it can be quite stormy here, so every now and then they have to take shelter here on Lake Garda. Our dogs, father and son, are truly part of our family. They stay in a separate part of the garden and in our house. So you won't encounter them. If this is ever the case, there is absolutely no need to fear them. They are very social and are completely familiar with our guests.
Our place
'Unique charm' is the right description that comes in our minds when we think of the historic westside of Lake Garda. Our bed and breakfast is located in beautiful 'Bornico', a small village that was once combined into a bigger municipality, just like Toscolano and Maderno. We are located in the middle of the mountains of the 'Alto Garda Bresciano' regional park, and very close to the lake. We have been staying here for almost three years now. We are at home at this place. We are so proud to live here. Every day we dive into a combination of history, nature, local vibrant culture and overwhelming beauty. We like to share that pure feeling.
